I have always been inspired by travel and the lessons that you learn while being outside of your home. I have been brought all across the world starting at a very young age, thanks to my mother who is an amazing travel agent. Growing up experiencing different cultures has implanted a love for what's happening outside my country in me. Now as I am a bit older and can more so retain the experiences and information that I acquire while traveling has given me even more motivation to try and connect and build relationships with others in other countries. The tourism industry has taken a very hard hit through this pandemic and has affected thousands of lives. Tourism, for places like Imvelo Safari Lodges is their main source of funding, so when travel bans were implemented and nearly all tourists had to cancel or push back their trips, it hurt very hard. Knowing how this is affecting my mother's business, it made me want to help an organization that is in the same boat. Along with my love for travel, the African safari, and helping others, I have chosen to team with Imvelo and help spread awareness as my capstone project for the Silver Creek Leadership Academy.
